Home renovation and major work
Six areas of work, one method. We take on the full coordination: permits, licensed subcontractors, schedule, and compliance with the requirements of the Régie du bâtiment du Québec (RBQ) and the CNESST, the provincial construction licensing and workplace safety boards.
Kitchen renovation
The kitchen is the hardest-working room in the house and the one where bad surprises cost the most. We survey what is there before pricing anything: the condition of the walls, where the plumbing stacks run, what the electrical panel can carry. The work is then sequenced to cut down the time you spend without a working kitchen.
- Demolition, protection of the space and waste hauled out to a bin
- Plumbing and electrical changes by licensed subcontractors
- Straightening and preparing the walls and ceilings
- Cabinet, island and hardware installation, shimmed level over out-of-square floors
- Countertop installation, with templating coordinated with the fabricator
- Backsplash, flooring and sealants
- Finishing, painting and touch-ups before handover
Bathroom renovation
A poorly waterproofed bathroom gets paid for twice. We treat the membrane, the slopes and the sealants as line items in their own right, not as finishing touches. Ventilation is checked and corrected where needed: that is what protects the work over time.
- Demolition and inspection of the subfloor and the structure
- Plumbing rough-ins relocated by a licensed plumber
- Waterproofing membrane, code-compliant shower slopes and drains
- Wall and floor tile, thresholds, corners and sealants
- Shower, tub, vanity and accessory installation
- Ventilation ducted to the outside, with airflow verified
- Light fixtures, paint and finishing

Basement finishing
A basement finished on top of a moisture problem becomes a more expensive problem. We start by diagnosing moisture, insulation and drainage before anyone talks about partitions. The layout then respects egress, headroom and fire protection requirements.
- Moisture diagnosis and repair of any infiltration before any finishing
- Insulation and vapour barrier to the Quebec Construction Code
- Partition framing, and furring around posts and ductwork
- Bedroom, family room or bathroom, with a compliant egress window
- Electrical, lighting and outlets by a master electrician
- Flooring, drywall, taping, finishing and paint
- Ceiling and partition soundproofing on request

Home addition
An addition touches the structure, the building envelope and municipal by-laws all at once. We coordinate the building technologist or engineer, the permit application and the work itself, so the joint between new and existing stays tight and lasts.
- Feasibility review, zoning check and support with the permit application
- Drawings coordinated with a building technologist or a structural engineer
- Foundation, slab or piles, depending on the soil and the spans
- Framing, roofing and envelope tie-in to the existing building
- Insulation, air barrier, weather barrier and windows
- Exterior cladding matched to the existing house
- Complete interior finishing, ready to live in
Framing
This is the heart of the founder’s trade, trained in carpentry and joinery. Opening a load-bearing wall, fixing a floor that deflects or correcting tired framing takes calculations, not guesswork. Every load-bearing intervention is backed by an engineer’s drawing.
- Load-bearing wall openings, with beam and posts sized by an engineer
- Temporary shoring and load transfer
- Reinforcing or replacing joists, beams and posts
- Wall, floor and roof framing
- Correcting sagging floors and out-of-level structures
- Replacing wood damaged by water or insects
- Annexes, decks and exterior structures

Project management
You have drawings, a designer or several quotes, but nobody holding the thread. We act as the general contractor: one contract, one point of contact, and responsibility for coordinating the whole job.
- Detailed estimating and review of the subcontractors’ quotes
- Verification of each trade’s RBQ licence, insurance and CNESST registration
- Site schedule and sequencing of the trades
- Permit applications and follow-up with the municipality
- Ordering, lead times and material handling on site
- Progress reports, change order management and budget tracking
- Handover, deficiency list and delivery of the warranties
What comes with every mandate
Written contract
Scope of work, price, schedule, payment terms and exclusions, based on the standard APCHQ and ACQ contracts.
Licensed subcontractors
Plumbing, electrical and the other regulated trades go to companies holding a valid licence, and we keep the proof on file.
Insurance and CNESST
Civil liability insurance in force and registration with the CNESST. Certificates are provided on request, before the work begins.
A site kept in order
Surfaces protected, cleanup at the end of the day, a waste bin on site and access respected. You keep living in your home while the work goes on.
Deficiency list
A final inspection done with you, a written list of the corrections, and the work completed before the file is closed.
Your project is not on the list?
These six categories cover most of what we do, but they are not a boundary. Describe the work: if we are not the right company to carry it out, we will say so and point you elsewhere.
Let us talk about your project
Describe the work in a few lines. We check feasibility, then set up a site visit. The detailed quote is free and commits you to nothing.
